About Us
Strong Abogados was founded as a corporate and real estate law firm in Sevilla in 2000 by Pura Strong. In 2004, recognizing the language barriers that many of our corporate clients faced in other aspects of their business, Strong Abogados began offering accounting and payroll services. In 2005, Strong Abogados moved to Barcelona, the city most frequently chosen by foreigners establishing a business in Spain. In 2010, Strong Abogados opened an office in Madrid.
We are committed to taking advantage of the Spanish government's latest extranet initiatives -- online services, electronic signatures, and electronic file transfer -- thereby passing on faster turnaround and reduced costs to you.

Pura Strong
Pura practices primarily in the areas of international commercial law and taxation. Her focus is on establishing small- and medium-size companies in Spain, as well as tax and estate planning.
Pura was born in Spain in 1966. Pura graduated with honors in 1988 at the Law School of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Pura holds a Master's in corporate taxation at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and four years of post-graduate studies in civil and commercial law. In 1996, Pura completed her studies at Harvard University with courses in business law and taxation.
Pura's professional experience began in Madrid as an attorney specializing in securities, financial institutions, banking law, and taxation. In New York, Pura joined a financial services institution to provide financial planning to individuals and corporations. Pura then worked at a law firm focusing on corporate law and estate planning. Pura holds Series 6 and Series 63 NASDAQ licenses.

Mireia Costa
Mireia is our immigration lawyer. She can facilitate the processing and reception of all types of documentation required by the Spanish authorities for foreign business persons and their families: residence permits, work permits, and family-based visas.
Besides her native Spanish and Catalan, Mireia speaks English, French, German, and Arabic.
Mireia received her law degree in 1993 from the Universidad de Barcelona. During 1994 - 1995, she worked for the multinational firm, Robert Bosch GmbH, in Stuttgart and Berlin. Since the year 2002, she has dedicated herself exclusively to issues of immigration.
Pedro da Cruz
Pedro is our junior lawyer. Besides native English, Pedro also speaks Portuguese and Spanish. Pedro lived in Angola and the UK before his move to Spain.
Pedro graduated from the University of Southampton, England in 2007 with a degree in Law.
Lourdes Martinez
Lourdes joined Strong Abogados in 2006 as head accountant. She has more than ten years' professional experience in accounting, taxes, and international trade.
Lourdes graduated from Maria Auxiliadora Salesianas in 1993 with a degree in Business Administration.
Tom Strong
Tom handles the roles of marketing and finance for Strong Abogados. He grew up in the United States. His career as computer programmer brought him to Spain in 1994. He left that career in 2003 to join the firm.
Tom graduated from Haverford College (USA) in 1985 with a degree in mathematics.

Helena Maillo
Helena works of-counsel with Strong Abogados as a labour lawyer. Helena received her law degree from the University of Salamanca in 1992. She worked in the firm Garrigues Andersen before starting her own firm, Consilience.
Lina LLorente
Lina is our land classification and real estate appraisal expert. Lina has ten years of experience in real estate developments and urban planning. Her career spans work in Chile, Madrid, Sevilla, and Barcelona.
Lina graduated from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 1996 with a degree in Architecture. She is a member of El Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Sevilla since 2000, and La Sociedad de Tasaciones Arquitasa since 2005.
